Used car warranty
An inspection booked and paid for on the Website includes a warranty of one year on a vehicle that passes that inspection. The warranty runs from the date the report is issued and is tied to the vehicle and the account that booked it.
What the warranty covers
- Repair or replacement of the automatic or manual gearbox and its mechatronics.
- Repair of the engine and its major internal components.
- Repair of the suspension and steering components.
- Repair of the air conditioning system and the vehicle's sensors and electronics.
- Roadside help when the vehicle breaks down on a covered fault.
- Reimbursement of a workshop bill for a covered repair, against the original invoice.
- Help with the transfer of the registration certificate and with insurance claims.
Conditions
Draft: to be reviewed by counsel before launch.
- The vehicle must have passed the JaanCar inspection, and the warranty applies only to faults that were not recorded in that report.
- Routine servicing, consumable parts, accident damage, and damage from misuse or unauthorised modification are not covered.
- A claim must be raised with JaanCar before a repair begins, except for roadside help.
- The extended warranty plans shown on the Website are a separate product with their own terms.
